Kyay-Oh

Kyay Oh is a traditional Burmese noodle dish, popular throughout Myanmar. It became widely popular around the late 19th century and typically consists of vermicelli served in a clear, flavorful broth with various toppings. The two main variations are Kyay Oh (soup) and Kyay Oh Sichet (dry). Its modern popularity, especially in restaurant chains like YKKO (founded in 1988), has helped bring it into the mainstream, making it one of Myanmar’s most recognizable dishes today.

Kyay Oh is made with pork or chicken, but over time, restaurants and food vendors began experimenting with ingredients, including seafood, to offer more variety.

You can also customize your dish by choosing your preferred noodle type and an array of delicious toppings.

Our Story

In 1988, YKKO started as a small kyay-oh shop in Yankin township of Yangon, proudly named ‘Yan Kin Kyay Oh‘ to honor its origins. The opening of the second store in Sayar San cemented its reputation for authentic flavors and warm service, making YKKO a household name. Now, after three decades and 40+ branches across Myanmar, YKKO proudly brings its iconic Kyay-Oh to Thailand, continuing a tradition of warming hearts and satisfying taste buds wherever we go.
